Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve now available in Purple Sapphire

11 January 2023

The industry first of purple-colour sapphire from Hublot, first seen on the Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic is now deployed on the Spirt of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve. This new purple tint is a composite made of Al₂O₃ (aluminium oxyde) and chrome, with the case and movement blending together seamlessly.

On the Spirit of Big Bang, the hours and minutes are positioned off-center at the three o'clock position, the tourbillon cage at six o'clock, and the power reserve indicator at eight o'clock – all set against the skeletonized mechanics of the movement.

The case measures 42mm in diameter, with the movement viewable via the dial side or through a sapphire exhibition caseback. Both windows reveal the HUB6020 manufacture movement – a skeleton tourbillon which is specially designed to sit within the tonneau case. Just as the name suggests, the watch boasts a power reserve of 115 hours, as well as a five-day indicator on the dial.
