Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller - technically sophisticated yet easy to use

1 January 2023

Introducing the Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller in 18ct yellow gold with a bright black dial and Oysterflex bracelet.

The timepiece from Rolex features a dual time zone display and an innovative annual calendar named Saros that shows the date at 3 o’clock and the month via 12 apertures around the dial – with the current month marked in red.

Saros is the astronomical phenomenon when the Sun, Earth and Moon align.

Inspired by this cycle, the Sky-Dweller’s Saros annual calendar automatically differentiates between 30- and 31-day months and stands out for its innovative display of the months via apertures.

The patented Saros mechanism consists of only four gear wheels and two gear ratios added to the traditional Rolex instantaneous date calendar.

This construction of extreme simplicity ensures the system’s great reliability.

Calibre 9001, one of Rolex’s most complex movements, powers the watch. Technically sophisticated yet easy to use, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller.
