Patek Philippe adds the minute repeater to the Aquanaut Luce

15 November 2023

The Aquanaut Luce meets one of the most emblematic Grand Complications: the minute repeater. Reference 5260 presents an unprecedented alliance between modern casual-chic style and ‘Haute Joaillerie’, with a setting of 52 multicolored baguette-cut sapphires (3.19 cts), 112 baguette-cut diamonds (7.31 cts) and 160 brilliant-cut diamonds (0.72 ct).

This watch comes with three ultra-resistant composite straps – matte beige (originally fitted), red and matte white (additional straps) – secured by a patented fold-over clasp in rose gold set with baguette-cut diamonds.

The caliber R 27 self-winding movement chimes on demand, on two classic gongs, the hour, quarters and minutes elapsed since the last quarter, by a simple pressure on the slide-piece set into the left flank of the case. Its refined architecture featuring an off-centered 22K gold guilloched mini-rotor as well as its meticulous finishing are visible through a transparent sapphire caseback.
