Piaget and the Art of Possession #SIHH2019

18 March 2019

By Peter Vossner

Piaget celebrates the free-spirited woman with its new collection of Piaget Possession watches. Featuring magnificent levels of gem-setting, a spectacular new cuff of hand-worked gold on one timepiece epitomises it all.

The Piaget Possession has always spoken to the independent woman, embodying the core of her essential strength. With its rotating bezel, free-spinning yet fixed in position around the dial, it echoes her spirit — at full liberty, anchored only by her time and her will.

In 2018, the captivating Piaget Possession watches was presented in a plethora of colours, with a full palette of interchangeable coloured straps and bracelets as well as exceptional ornamental stone dials of lapis lazuli, carnelian, turquoise and malachite.

The standout from the 2019 launches in this collection is comparatively restrained in its use of diamonds, but exerts maximum impact with its expert application of gold-working, a skill for which Piaget is historically famed.

A full cuff of hand-worked textured Milanese mesh is paired with an iridescent mother-of-pearl dial that complements the effervescent shimmer of the textured mesh. Both the case and the iconic rotating bezel are fully set with diamonds, forming the perfect accompaniment to the exquisite gold-worked cuff.
