UNIQLO Launches UT Grand Prix 2013

UNIQLO announced the launch of the UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) Grand Prix 2013. An annual T-shirt design contest in which participants around the world turn T-shirts into creative works of art. The 2013 contest will take place from August 3rd - September 2nd 2012.

Contest entrants can submit their original designs featuring one of six internationally well-known music artists: AC/DC, David Bowie, Madonna, KISS, the Sex Pistols and The Who.

These music legends will personally select the six winning entries in the Artist’s Choice Award category, while an online voting process will choose the six winners in the People’s Choice Award category. Uniqlo will then select an additional twelve entries for the Runner Ups’ category

A total of US$30,000 in cash prizes will be available for the twelve winners. UNIQLO will then produce UTs for all twenty-four designs and sell them at its stores throughout the world in 2013.
