Blancpain Villeret's Golden Hour: A Poetic Renaissance of Timeless Elegance
By SENATUS Magazine | 27 October 2025

This autumn, the Blancpain Villeret collection unveils "Golden Hour," a stunning reinterpretation of three of its most emblematic models. This new series is a masterful reaffirmation of the collection's dual heritage: mechanical excellence and the pure, refined design that defines the soul of Blancpain.

The Subtle Art of Evolution

The Villeret line, beloved for its timeless aesthetics, evolves with a series of exquisite updates in both color and material. The collection introduces new, stunning autumnal shades with the debut of a finely grained opaline dial and a rich golden brown dial. These new faces are paired with sumptuous, interchangeable leather straps in four sophisticated new shades: brown, blue-grey, honey, and beige nubuck velvet, all featuring a supple barolo finish that develops a natural patina over time.

The aesthetic refinements don't stop there. Refined Roman numerals in 18 ct gold now boast satin-brushed surfaces and polished bevels, creating a more sculpted and sharply defined look. The slender hands have been redesigned with luminescent inserts, offering a contemporary touch and improved readability.

A Signature of Romance and Precision

No Villeret collection would be complete without the moon phase, a complication that played a key role in the revival of Swiss watchmaking and has since become one of Blancpain's most emblematic signatures. For the new collection, this poetic and technical complication is more expressive than ever. It features an enlarged aperture that enhances depth and presence, showcasing a ceramic disc with a domed, satin-finished 18 ct gold moon that features its distinctive face—a nod to centuries of symbolism where the celestial body is humanised.

Haute Horlogerie for a Modern Era

The three reinterpreted models—an automatic three-hand model with date (40 mm), a complete calendar with moon phase (40 mm), and a smaller moon phase calendar (33.20 mm)—are offered in 16 new references crafted in 18 ct red gold or stainless steel.

These exceptional timepieces are powered by beautifully hand-finished automatic manufacture movements equipped with a silicon hairspring and decorated in accordance with the traditions of Haute Horlogerie. The movements are now revealed through a new, openworked oscillating weight crafted in red or yellow gold with polished bevels, highlighting the excellence of the finishing.

Embodying an ideal of purity, elegance, and meaning, the Villeret collection continues to prove that timeless elegance can always be reinvented with subtlety. As Marc A. Hayek, President and CEO of Blancpain, concludes, "One is never overdressed or underdressed with a Villeret".
