With its 2025 entry in the Jewellery Watch category of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, Chopard takes flight on wings of artistry. The Swan Lake watch, a secret timepiece of ethereal beauty, unites the Maison’s Haute Joaillerie savoir-faire with the delicate poetry of nature, brought to life in over 1,500 hours of meticulous craftsmanship.
Entirely handcrafted, the majestic swan glides across the wrist in 18-carat ethical white and yellow gold, its plumage ablaze with white and black diamonds and fiery spessartites. Its sculpted body rests upon a titanium base evoking seafoam, itself delicately set with diamonds, while a satin strap adorned with real white feathers secures the creation. A feather-shaped pin buckle in white gold completes the ensemble—an objet d’art as much as a watch.
The swan’s secret lies in its wings. With a gentle turn of the head, a hidden mechanism unfurls the bird’s articulated wings in three graceful stages, revealing a mother-of-pearl dial engraved with a feather motif. At its heart beats the Chopard Calibre 10.01-C, a manual-winding movement offering 45 hours of power reserve—astonishingly compact, no thicker than two stacked five-cent coins.
A vision imagined by Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s Co-President and Artistic Director, this exceptional piece joins the Maison’s extraordinary bestiary. More than a watch, the Swan Lake is a lyrical ode to transformation—where horology and high jewellery merge in a ballet of feathers, diamonds, and dreams.
