A. Lange & Söhne's founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange's vision was to create pocket watches that seamlessly combined precision, functionality, and elegance—and the new 1815 carries this tradition forward. The collection, named after the birth year of the founder, symbolizes the beginning of a legacy that would reshape Saxon watchmaking.
Offered in 750 pink- or white-gold versions, the new A. Lange & Söhne 1815 timepieces unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2025 exude an effortless grace with its 34mm diameter and slim 6.4mm height, making it an ideal, discreet choice for those who prefer a more refined, understated timepiece.
The slender, slightly tiered bezel frames a dial that reflects the brand’s meticulous craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from Lange’s iconic pocket watches, the dial features a railway-track minute scale, Arabic numerals, and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. Lancet-shaped hands, rotating gracefully over a blue background, enhance the classic allure of the piece.
The white-gold model comes with a blue leather strap, while the pink-gold version pairs with a reddish-brown strap. Both feature a polished prong buckle in matching gold, highlighting the brand’s commitment to artisanal detail.
Powering the 1815 is a manually wound movement—A. Lange & Söhne's 75th caliber since the brand's revival. A newly developed oscillation system, with a freely oscillating balance spring and a large screw balance crafted in-house, ensures exceptional precision throughout its 72-hour power reserve.
