Breitling DC-3 Makes Stop in Singapore on World Tour
By SENATUS Watches & Jewelry | 6 April 2017

On 9 March 1940, the twin-engine propeller-driven Douglas DC-3 that now flies under Breitling colors made its maiden flight in the United States. 77 years later and at 77 years old, the world's oldest passenger plane with a storied history including the participation in WWII, and having clocked more than 74,500 flight hours, is making a stop in Singapore whilst on its World Tour.

Berthed at the Seletar Airport in the northern part of Singapore, the propeller plane is accompanied by a full set of 500-piece limited edition Navitimer Breitling DC-3 timepiece, available for sale after the tour is completed in September back in Switzerland.

Members of the media and VIP customers were treated to an exclusive flight around Singapore/Malaysia, crossing the straits of Johor and taking in the sights from a low cruising altitude, and with that, an appreciation of the passion of Breitling for aviation as it safeguards one of the finest gems in the history of the conquest of the skies.
