Gucci Presents First-Ever Cruise Runway Show #GucciCruiseNY
By SENATUS News | 5 June 2015

On June 4, Gucci under the helm of its new creative director Alessandro Michele, held its first-ever Cruise runway show in New York City at the Dia Art Foundation, a nonprofit organization that initiates, supports, presents, and preserves art projects. The venue was fitting for the collection presented as a "wardrobe" with pieces that are passed down from another time.

The pieces reveal a western bourgeois attitude; for a young muse with a strong, eccentric personality. She is romantic, chic, eclectic and feminine rolled into one.

Crystal embroideries, lace, patches, prints, ribbons, brocade and tromp d’oeil feature as embellishments, complemented by Gucci's iconic web, the GG motif and the Gucci signature.
