IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN Celebrates 75th Anniversary of Portugieser in Singapore
By SENATUS Editor | 9 April 2015

On Wednesday night, Swiss watchmaker IWC unveiled its 2015 SIHH novelties to VIPs and guests at the Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore, transforming the venue into a showcase for its newly developed Portugieser collection. The occasion was a continuation of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the legendary Portugieser watch family which began at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie earlier this year.

For 75 years, the Portugieser line has represented the epitome of precision and the art of watchmaking at its most complex. "No other product line unites so many of the technical achievements of haute horlogerie," explained Georges Kern, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen, in a press statement.

"Portugieser watches with their sophisticated complications and movements embody all of the skill and manufacturing expertise we have amassed over many years. With the 75th anniversary of the Portugieser, we are celebrating the birthday of a genuine icon."
