Comoddity Fall Winter 2014 | Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready to Wear 2014
By Men's Journal Online | 3 July 2014

Imagining a metaphysical journey into space, Comoddity designer Vincent Siow debut his first ever runway collection, entitled ‘Ark of Constellations’, presented during Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready to Wear 2014.

Inspired by archeoastronomy and asterisms, which are the patterns formed by the grouping of stars, the collection can be defined through the age of myth and exploration. Quintessential wardrobe pieces were renewed for modern use, often embracing the usage of unconventional fabric gleaming through. Realized with an urban point of view, mixing formal and casual styles, Vincent put an emphasis on valuing the past. The results included a tailored blue blazer with pants and an oversized sweater paired with shorts, while provide a structural fluidity in the garments, keeping true to the core nature of the brand. However, metallic stripes can be seen in this collection, which injected into long-sleeves shirt and the must-have piece of the whole collection: the bomber jacket. Designed for the classically-inclined or trendier consumer in us, the jacket boasted a modern punch that is sure to send waves.
