Giambattista Valli to Launch Ready-to-Wear Line, "Giamba"
By SENATUS News | 30 May 2014

Couturier Giambattista Valli who has made an excellent reputation for his eponymous label with his outstanding collections featured during Haute Couture Week, is set to launch a new ready-to-will label at Milan Fashion Week come September. Named "Giamba" after the designer's nickname, the line will be more playful according to Valli, saying "There is also an underground and sexy side in me and in my designs that you will see in the Giamba line. I've been thinking about it for a while and waited for the right time, and now it's matured."

"I am really very happy. I feel the need to dress women in general, and Giamba is a little more intimate."

In December 2013, Giambattista had worked on a collaboration with American retailer Macy's Impulse capsule collection (picture below), and this new development will see the Italian couturier's creations available to a larger customer base.
