The Museum's Costume Institute Benefit took place on Monday, 5 May, in celebration of the opening of the Charles James exhibition and the new Anna Wintour Costume Center. The evening’s Chair was Aerin Lauder, with co-Chairs will be Bradley Cooper, Oscar de la Renta, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch, and Anna Wintour. This event is The Costume Institute’s main source of annual funding for exhibitions, acquisitions, and capital improvements.
