For the very first time Valentino held a show in Shanghai, Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli created a special collection which regardless of any season, combined with the haute couture series into an exciting fashion statement. They have been active in the development and consolidation of the brand unique and attitude, vividly presented in the entire series which combined various elements at the same time such as floral patterns, lace, studs, camouflage.

This series is designed for Shanghai creative brand, which demonstrated the flawless craftsmanship. They boldly chose a single color - red to express the entire range of design ideas. Red is the color of the iconic Valentino and also a color to represent Chinese culture.

Celebrities in town appeared including Carina Lau, Zhang Ziyi, Chi-ling Lin, Niki, Wyman Wong and Xu Hao Ying, all of whom wore Valentino, attended the fashion show in a cruise terminal on the Shanghai's Huangpu River to celebrate the evening.
