Italian fashion label Miu Miu held its Women's Tales event at the 70th Venice International Film Festival on 29 August in Venice, Italy, inviting several leading actresses including British actress of Downton Abbey fame, Michelle Dockery, Indian actress Freida Pinto, Carey Mulligan who was last seen on the big screen for The Great Gatsby in several Prada and Miu Miu outfits.

Miu Miu Women's Tales is a series of short films each paying homage to the talented women of the silver-screen. Named the "Women's Tales", the series featured films directed by up-and-comers like Zoe Cassavetes, Lucrecia Martel, Giada Colagrande, and Massy Tadjedin.

This was a truly international affair as Turkish actress Ahu Türkpençe and director Deniz Akçay, Italian actors Roberto Zibetti and Filippo Timi, Palestinian actress and director Hiam Abbass (who presented her film “The Women on the Vucciria), Americans director Ava DuVernay (who presented her short film “The Door”), actress Gabrielle Union, and professional basketball player Dwayne Wade were also attending in style…
