Jimmy Choo Moves Menswear Fashion Shows to London
By SENATUS News | 22 April 2013

Hot on the heels of Burberry announcing its return to its British capital of London, away from Milan, footwear and accessories label Jimmy Choo has revealed that it would be doing the same. Having shown its menswear collection to media and trade buyers in Milan's Men's Fashion Week since 2011, Jimmy Choo will be showcasing its Spring Summer 2014 collection in London going forward, coinciding with the opening of its new flagship store on Dover Street in Mayfair next month.

This marks another victory for London, as it reaffirms its status as the top fashion capital of the world for the second year running in 2012, and looks to consolidate its standing with more labels establishing a major retail presence in the U.K. and featuring during the bi-annual 'London Collections: Men' showcase, set to take place from 16 to 18 June.

"It's exciting to be showing our men's collection as part of London Collections: Men, Sandra Choi, Creative Director Jimmy Choo.

"London is at the creative heart of Jimmy Choo and with our new flagship Men's store opening on Dover Street in May the timing feels right to make the move."

"Having Jimmy Choo move their men's presentation from Milan to London for London Collections: Men in June is marvellous news, and will make our third men's fashion week even more exciting," says Dylan Jones, chair of London Collections: Men.

"This is further proof that London really does feel like the home of menswear, as designers from everywhere from Milan and Paris to Beijing and New York come here to show."
